Navy Trench Coat Womens

Our new Women’s Navy Double Breasted Belted Trench Coat is the result of a decade of British tailoring and expertise. We have spared no expense in delivering the ultimate trench coat in terms of design, materials and construction. This is our flagship garment and we are very proud of it. Attention to detail and the history of this icon is fully realised with key features including sleeve straps, a check under collar and gun flap. We use coated twill from British Millerain for the outer shell, selected for its performance and feel, with a traditional navy check lining inside along with real leather buckles and buffalo horn buttons. This navy example is one of three colours, with stone and black the other two. They are all mid length coats not long or short.

Each coat is hand cut and made at our Suffolk factory where we have been making clothes for many years, and takes over a day to complete by experienced tailors and seamstresses. It is the ideal showerproof mac for the ever changing British weather come summer or winter. Quite simply we are sure you will love it!

History of The Trench Coat

The Classic Trench coat design we see today developed from garments designed for soldiers in WW1. They offered a more comfortable yet waterproof alternative to the itchy and heavy wool overcoats that they had traditionally worn. They fitted better, were lighter and had deep pockets and D rings attached to the belt to accommodate tools.
