Made with a soft collar and single button cuff and a hint of elastane for comfort, It also features a split yoke for comfort around shoulders. Machine washable and available in size 6 to 20, it is made at our own premises in Suffolk, where we have been making shirts for over a decade. The Origins Of Blue Denim Clothing

The actual birthplace of denim remains disputed but many believe it was in France. Fabric weavers in Nimes produced the fabric in a classical twill weave whilst trying to produce a hard wearing cotton fabric. The weavers used indigo to dye the warp threads blue. The finished fabric remained the blueprint for what is known as denim for a long while. Traditionally it was regarded as hard wearing workwear, and although it is still bought by many for this purpose, other fibres have been blended in to increase its appeal and to widen its use in fashion. Whilst both historically and still today its main use is in jeans, you can find all manner of garments on sale in classic looking indigo denim including men and womens shirts, tops, dresses and blouses.
