Tapered trousers are trousers where the legs narrow towards the ankle and therefore offer more shape to the wearer.

Our tapered option (known as our medium fit) remains the most popular option from our create your own trousers collection.
The medium fit is a tapered version of our classic leg, but not so extreme that it is a slim leg. We find the fit is the perfect balance between the two extremes offering shape but not too tight that they may restrict movement.

We offer a tapered option for our jeans, chinos and corduroy and moleskin trousers along with a wide range of waist and inside leg options.
Are tapered trousers supposed to be short?
Tapered relate to the circumference around the ankle and not the length of the inside leg.
How to wear tapered trousers
We recommend our medium fit trousers for men who want that extra shape but not as tight as a slim leg so they remain comfortable to wear.
Caring for your trousers
We recommend a 30 degree wash. Do not tumble try your trousers and for best results hang straight out from the washing machine. Iron on the inside of the trousers with medium heat.
Trousers hand cut and made in England
Our trousers are all hand cut and made in England at our Suffolk factory by experienced tailors and seamstresses.
Trousers made from the finest materials
We use only the finest materials to make our trousers which include cotton stretch twill from British mill Brisbane Moss. The beautiful cloths include a small amount of elastane for extra comfort and each pair is finished with real buffalo horn buttons and a YKK zip
