Our collection of British made shirts cover every occasion from our formal men shirts to our casual short sleeve and denim shirts. We launched our first mens shirt collection back in 2010 and have since then offered a wide selection of options including 100% Egyptian and US Pima cotton along with linen. We source the fabric for our mens shirts from the finest European fabric mills including British Mill Brisbane Moss and European shirting mills Canclini, Tessitura Monti and Soktas.
Made in England
All our mens shirts are hand cut and made at our Suffolk factory by experienced tailors and seamstresses using our own in house shirt block which has been tried and tested over the years. Only the finest materials are used to create each shirt including thread from gutterman and sewn in interfacing from DHJ. We do not use fusible interfacing in the shirt collar or cuffs as you always risk it eventually coming unstuck from the fabric. Buttons are sourced from either Maribert button-makers in Italy which we use for our formal double cuff shirts and popular long sleeve oxford shirts to sustainable grey and brown corozo buttons for our London shirts.
Slim Fit Vs Classic Fit
We don’t make slim fit or classic / regular fit shirts. Our shirt block is a happy medium tailored fit between the two extremes and has proved popular over the years. If you are seeking a looser fit or tighter fit then we recommend going down or up accordingly.
Contrast Collars and Cuffs
We have always wanted to add style to every shirt we make and you will find that most of them will have contrast fabric inside the collar and cuffs. We often use prints from Liberty London like the famous “queue at the zoo” print or source subtle paisley prints from Canclini.
Types of Collars
We currently have three types of collars; Windsor, standard and button down. The latter is obvious while the standard collar is used for most of our shirts. The Windsor collar is cut away compared to our standard collar and used exclusively for our double or French cuff shirts. The extra spread of the collar makes it ideal to accommodate a tie with a half or full Windsor knot.

Formal Shirts
Our formal shirts are designed to be worn with a tie and suit, hence why we use a Windsor collar. To make them stand out we still use a contrast fabric inside the collar and notched double cuffs so you can just see a touch of contrast. Our French Cuff shirts are available in white, blue and stripes.
Button Down Long Sleeve Shirt Collection
Our button down shirts are very popular as they are so ideal for those smart casual occasions. Each shirt is made from soft luxurious Oxford cloth with the typical features including single button cuffs and a box pleat in the back to accommodate better movement. We offer the typical pastel colours including pink and light blue. The shirts look really great paired with our mens chinos.
Short Sleeve Shirts
The perfect solution for summer and the most casual option we have, the short sleeve shirts are the perfect addition to your wardrobe and go really well with our chino shorts.
Linen Shirts
Our Mens linen shirts are very much inspired by the nautical style with navy and blue stripes featuring prominently. Linen has a reputation for creasing easily, but we have found with our shirts that if you hang them immediately after washing the creases are minimal. Linen shirts are great with chino or chino shorts and for those getting married in a hot climate – why not pair the shirt with a waistcoat?

Are non iron shirts good?
While we do have access to non-iron options we have always stressed to our customers that if you immediately hang our shirts from the washing machine the number of creases will be minimal.

A casual long sleeve shirt needs to be either a button down collar shirt or one with a soft collar and of course regular single button cuffs. It should not be a double cuff shirt. It can be cotton or linen and is often a check.
