Chinos along with jeans are the bread and butter of a gentlemen’s wardrobe. However while jeans are great choice for the weekend and evening wear, there is little doubt that chinos remain the most versatile option of the two. Easy to dress up and down they can be used for every occasion from a city break or worn to the office.

This new blog with explore our chinos in more details from the traditional design features and how to style them for all occasions; from casual to very formal.

Traditional Chino Design: Khaki Chinos VS Dress Pants

There are many variations of chino styles on the market today from more casual options like chino jeans, or khakis to a more traditional design that is closer to resembling trousers. Our chinos which are available in 12 colour ways are without doubt the latter and therefore is able to offer that extra level of formality when required which cannot be easily achieved with the former.

Despite the trouser styling which includes slanted front pockets and rear pocket flaps, we will prove that this extra level of formality and traditional British tailoring does not exclude our chinos from also being dressed down. This blog will fully outline the incredible versatility of our popular chinos

Quality materials and fine British Tailoring : No Fast Fashion

To style a pair of chinos you need to start with a good quality pair of chinos. Cheap low quality chinos is always a false economy and you can never truly create a stylish outfit if you do not invest in your clothing. Better to invest in a few key items than a wardrobe full of one wear items that are worn once and end up at the land fill. We are a huge advocate for sustainable fashion where less is more.

We are proud of our chinos which we have been manufacturing at our Suffolk factory since 2018. Each pair that we sell is individually cut and made to order. We spare no expense in materials or construction methods, despite both leading to a higher unit cost. Quality at an affordable price remains the bed rock of our company over the last decade.

The fabric is sourced from coveted British Mill Brisbane Moss and is made up of 97% cotton and 3% elastane. The elastane creates a finished pair of chinos that offers the customer a level of extra comfort and daily manoeuvrability which 100% cotton cannot compete with. The quality of materials does not stop there. We also use the finest cotton shirting fabrics for the interior pockets along with real buffalo horn buttons.

Henry Ford once said that “quality is doing it right when no one is looking”. When it comes to the manufacturing of our chinos and trousers this statement could not be truer. There are many additional steps we take during the manufacturing process which make a huge difference to the finish and longevity of the trousers, but seldom noticed by the customer. It is this process which we use on all our luxury British made clothing which has helped create a international customer base. Please read some of the reviews below:

Style chinos with five exciting looks

Yves Saint Laurent once said “Fashion fades, style is eternal”. Style really is individualistic. It should never be about following the masses, but actually finding your own unique on combing clothing to create a unique outfit that reflects you and your personality. With this in mind we have put together five outfits below to help give you inspiration. A good outfit always starts with choosing the right colour combinations.

Find Your Perfect Fit Chinos Today

So far we have explained the benefits of buying a quality pair of traditionally designed chinos. Further we have explored how versatile our chinos are to create a variety of exiting styles and outfits. However we have overlooked probably the most important aspect of any pair of chinos. That of course is the fit.

Like true style, fit is individual to each person and can be divided into two distinct categories:

1. How the trousers are shaped around your body while at the same time enabling you to move your body freely. Of all the clothing you wear, your trousers take the most strain.

2. Your expectation of what constitutes good fit. For some men it is all about comfort while others it is about the definition which has lead to the popular rise of the slim leg.

Bearing this is mind we realised that a handful of traditional waist sizes and inside leg with one build is too narrow. As a result we launched create your own chinos with three leg builds; slim, medium and classic leg along with an unparallel selection of waist and inside leg options including odd sizes. In total there are over 200 different possible combinations per colour. It is as close as a made to measure pair of trousers but at a fraction of the price while sparing no expense in using only the finest materials.

Make sure you supply accurate measurements

Hopefully we have convinced you that our chino offering online and you are excited to buy your first pair and join a happy global customer base.

To make sure you are 100% satisfied with your purchase, we strongly recommend you measure your own waist or a pair of chinos or trousers you currently own. Do not trust the size label as many brands are not heavily invested in vanity sizing where the actual waist is far bigger than the suggested size in the label. As we are offering a made to measure service we cut to size!

Other trousers options

In addition to chinos we also offer moleskin and corduroy trousers in a wonderful array of colour options. These make excellent winter trousers for men.
